Joshua J. Atkinson is a board-certified physician assistant through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). He is Level 1 accredited with the Colorado Department of Labor. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He is a Colorado Native, having grown up in the Denver Metro area. Before joining Colorado Occupational Medical Partners, Joshua served in the U.S. Army and Colorado Army National Gua rd as a medic.

He graduated from the lnterservice Physician Assistant Program- the military's Physician Assistant program in 2025. He serves as a reserve Army Officer for the Colorado Army National Guard's I’ Medical Detachment Unit at Buckley Space Force Base. Joshua finds comfort in medical settings and has a strong drive to help others recover, heal and return to a positive lifestyle.

Joshua's spare time is spent either with his wife and children, working out at the gym, attending sporting events or leisure activities in the mountains.
